Fellow Child Care Providers and Parents,
 
Welfare staff stated in a recent meeting that they intend to take the child care program (EOB programs) from UNLV and give it to the Las Vegas Urban League. I remember hearing something recently about the Urban League in the media, so I went and did some homework on the internet. This not only effects parents who utilize this program but all the parents who use a childcare provider. This could have an impact that would threaten the existence of child care providers around the state. It is something that requires the attention of everyone who uses child care services.

We need to express our discontent with this change before it is too late! The programs need to stay at UNLV so we can continue to get the help we need for our children and staff. I will be writing to my congressional and state legislature representatives and the governor to tell them that I don’t want this change and its potentially harmful impacts on my business and my families.
